Top Level Domains Can Now Be Illustrated with
an Icon and Sound
January 2005
TLDicons are specific icons, which, when placed
with a company's own logo, negate the need to use
www. and .com, (for example), when illustrating
on-line presence in print form, on signs,
stationary, products, or web pages.- Cole says.
Included with TopLevelDomainicons are their
respective audio counterparts, TopLevelDomaintones.
TLDtones are short jingles representing each
TopLevelDomainicon. They offer the same
flexibility when internet presence needs to be
conveyed by using a sound. These are used in audio
presentations such as on radio, or within
multimedia.
