FAQs on Billing/Pricing
Q) I registered and purchased a name, then noticed that I misspelled
it. Can I delete it and get my money back?
A)
Once your domain name is officially registered in the Internic's
central registry, we will not be able to remove it. Therefore, we
will not be able to refund you when your domain is registered, even
if you decide to cancel your order later. Please double check your
order before sending it. However, we will refund you if your
registration is not successful, for any reason. As long as the
domain name is not registered, you will get your money back.
Q) My domain transfer was not successful,
will I get my money back?
A) Yes, you will get a refund if your transfer order is not
successfully. Some registrars do not refund you for your transfer
order, for whatever reason. But we do not see why we should keep
your money if your domain is not transferred.
Q) Active-Domain's
Registration Agreement
says something about having to pay $50 for re-instatement of a
domain name, could you explain?
A) The $50 fee is *not* the fee to register a domain name
or the fee to renew a domain name. It is the fee to re-instate the
name after the payment was denied. It is used, for example, in the
following circumstance:
- A user
registers a name and pays for it with a credit card.
- Later, the
user denies to the credit card company that he registered the name.
- The credit
card company refunds money back to the user and takes funds out of
our bank account. Thus, the user has the name but did not pay for
it, even though Active-Domain has paid for it.
- Therefore, we
will put the name "on hold" so that the user does not have access to
it, thereby "taking back" the name from the user. When this happens,
the domain and all it's email operation will be suspended.
- After all this, the user decides he wants the name after all.
- He would have
to pay us $50 for us to reinstate the name to him and take the name
"off hold".
- If the domain is not re-instated, we will put up the repossessed
name for sale at a later date, at our discretion.
Q) Why does the transaction details for my
domain order appear differently on my credit card statement?
A) Your transaction is being processed by our payment
processing agents
Worldpay or Paypal. The transaction details on your
credit card statement would look something like "WP-Active Domain" or something similar. Please contact us for clarification on your
transaction if in doubt.
Q) Do you accept other mode of payment
besides credit card?
A) At the present moment, we prefer to accept payment through
credit cards such as Visa or Master Card. However, if you do not
have a credit card, we may accept payment through Inter-Bank Wire
Transfer (SWIFT) or bank draft. Please contact our sales staff for details on such
payment method.
